Pubs and Cafes in Bucharest

Pubs in Bucharest are somewhere in-between restaurants and clubs I guess. It is a place where you go by day to have drink and sometimes even a snack. And here we also include coffee-shops, tee-shops, chill-out and lounge bars.

Loggia
is one of the newly opened lounge cafes in Bucharest and it is definitely a vey nice one. It combines old architecture with minimal

Kartell Cafe
is just near Loggia and it is also an exquisite place where you can enjoy vary tasty cocktails.

As it is logical and convenient, most of the pubs are located in the center (historical center) of the town and on a tight area around it.
Coolcat is a very interesting lounge pub with soft pillows, drawings on the walls and good cocktails.

Festival 39 is a nice sample of Bucharest old classic style. Good music, snacks, cocktails and wonderful atmosphere.

A flavored tee you can drink either in Rendez-Vous behind the University building or in Carturesti, a beautiful library on Magheru Boulevard.

In Villacrosse Passage you can have a beer in Bristot Café. It is more pleasant if you do it in summer and you can sit on the osier chairs outside the pub.

Picasso
is another cute and cozy place where you can drink a hot cinnamon flavored wine during winter.

Far from the center of the town, in the students’ campus, Grozavesti area, you might want to pay a visit to La Cafenescu where you will experience the most terrific non-alcoholic cider drink ever!

And then another wonderful tee-shop you will find in Cotroceni area, just on the opposite side of the presidential residence.

Beckerbrau is where you drink draught beer and eat German sausages with cabbage. It is located in Rahova area behind the Romanian Academy building.
